K It started on a Ringo R470
Cyber1's story begins around 1987, when Domingos Ribeiro, then 16, was writing games and applications in BASIC on a Ringo R470, a Sinclair ZX81 compatible. The MSX and the Apple IIe followed, with programs sold through classified ads in the newspaper Primeira Mão, and then the first PCs.
While studying Engineering at the University of São Paulo in São Carlos, he set up Vizzu, which in 1994 became Vizzu Informática Ltda.: building and selling computers, technical support and a BBS with more than 200 programs. In 1997, now in São Paulo, came Cyber Designer Computação Gráfica, in the early years of the commercial internet in Brazil. That is where the name Cyber1 comes from.
Cyber1 was founded in 2000, in Vila Pompeia, São Paulo. The launch of QualityManager, now Quality1, took the company into industrial quality management and the automotive supply chain, and in 2004 its international work began.
In 2012, Vitor Henrique Vaz joined Cyber1 as an intern while still at university, and grew with the company into management. In 2017, Cyber1 set up in Portugal, in São João da Madeira, opening the way to cybersecurity and GDPR work in the European market. When Domingos moved to Portugal, Vitor took on a central role in the Brazilian operation and, shortly afterwards, was invited to become a partner. His work has been decisive for Cyber1's continuity and growth.
Today, the curiosity that started on the Ringo gives rise to AI-powered SaaS platforms such as Validato and SynBia.
